GOOD!

I'd love to see a picture of the car with the price that they would be reselling it for a few days later...

$19,500. That's a great price now days. I'd take it if it was me. Just wait another 3, or 6 months, you'll be lucky to get $18k.

They offered me $22k for mine, 7k miles. No dice, especially when I owe $27k.

Almost $10k less than what you purchased it for? OMG, serious depreciation in the first year

long term value of the 6speed will hold better than the ATs. The recent price drop is because the car is new remember it's an 03 even though it was released on in 02.

Plus.....sell private party. Dealership will rape you.

I am trying to sell it myself. Just wanted to see what the dealer would pay since I'm getting very few calls.
Dealer sales mgr told me that since the CL was discontinued many people stay away from it, and if someone really wants a 6 speed they will go for the new TL., but that's dealertalk. Also said I might be able to get up to $1000 more if the General manager would approve it.
Both Acura dealers here have no CLs on their used lots at all.
I'll probably end up keeping if if I can't get a certain price for it. not desparate to sell, was just gonna get another CLS

just remember its not stock so there is not chance of it going back up..

when I traded my cars people are very quick to say...oh you lost that amount of money...like their car hasnt depreciated that much

the fact of the matter is the car cost $30K and its worth in the low $20K whether you trade now or sell later it will never go up....and the money is gone

Not sure what you are saying, it is stock, and I completely understand depreciation, but the blue book retail on it is $24k.
Not gonna take $5k below that is all.

Ha... anyone that says the 6MT will hold value more than the auto has not worked inside the car biz...

Manny Trannys get knocked $1k on trade-in immediately... harder to sell for a dealer, requires finding the right person, must keep in inventory longer, pay floorplan, etc...

PLUS : Normally, people looking for 6MT cars are enthusiasts. This means they know their facts and aren't just looking for a 'pretty' car... makes a difference. The less a person knows, the more gross you can hold in a deal...

FYI.

Yeah but aren't the old 6-speed Legends actually worth more now then the AT versions? May just be in private party though.

Yes the manual shift legends (5 and 6 speeds) were definitely more sought after than the more common automatics, especially the coupes.

19.5, damn. I hadn't figured the CLS would be down to about that now. I've got 19K miles on my 6spd, and it looks like I'll be driving it for awhile. I can't see losing 10K on a 1 - 1/2 year old car. It's a discontinued coupe, but hopefully the depreciation will level off in a year or two.
