Dealer Offered Comptech Package?

There is a dealer here in Atlanta that offers what they call a "Comptech Package". It includes Comptech lowering springs, window tinting & a moon roof visor for $1495 installed. Is this a fair price?
It has also been recommended to me to not add a spoiler once the car is lowered for aesthetic reasons. I happen to like the CL-S spoiler and I don't see it as a detractor on some of the pics others have posted here who have put in Comptech springs. Of couse seeing a car in pics and in person are two different things.
Anyway, I will be leasing, so I am not sure if it worth putting the money in when such options cannot be residualized. Since I am leasing, it's also a reason I would prefer to have a dealer install such options to avoid any potential warranty issues.
Any thoughts?

Not a very nice deal . . . moonroof visor? tinted windows? What does this have to do with Comptech?

I'd call Comptech and find out if they have any experience with another dealer in your area. These guys sound like jerks.

Hahahaa, finally a deal worse than my dealer's offer of CT springs installed for the mere price of $999. Stay away from that loser dealership there in Atlanta and order them from Park Ave Acura or autocarparts.com. Just have an independent place install them or install them yourself.

I personally think the moon roof visor detracts from the smooth, clean lines but I do like the spoiler since it adds a little "aggressiveness" to the look. If you get the spoiler, ahmotor.com has a better price than your dealership will have or check the price on it at Park Ave Acura also.

You think that's bad???

How about a 2001 CLS NAVI W/ Headers, Comptech Springs, Comptech filter, Comptech exhaust, Spoiler and a new sterring wheel like the 2002 TL? Guess for how much? A WHOPPING 38K beofre taxes... WTF? That's nearly 8K (after taxes) more for this piece o' crap than what I paid for my ride!

I've been to Acura Carland that offers this package, and I agree it's way overpriced. But the service dept will sell, install springs and do alignment for $775. I had it done and am quite happy with the handling gains and looks. And I have spoiler and it looks good as well. But you won't really get big handling gains until you change the tires also. I had Toyo Proxes T1S 225/45 x17's put on at Kauffman tire nearby Carland in the morning, then drove to Carland with my old tires stuffed into the trunk with the lid tied down with bungy cords, and had the srpings done in the afternoon. Got the old springs in a box. Old tires and springs are now in a closet.

Remember NOPI in Atlanta Sep 15-16

Ouch!! That's gotta hurt if somebody pays full price... What are these dealers thinking?? I guess they can ask any price they want and if some uninformed person is willing to pay it, the deal is done. The pain then sets in after the person realizes how badly they were taken. Hopefully, potential buyers will do a little research beforehand and stumble across this site so we can warn them...

Lets face it , they are in it to make money . Very few of them want to see a smile on the customers face. They just want to see your money and then send you on your way . Check with sutherlin acura in atlanta, they carry comptech parts and are pretty reasonable.

That is way to much money for those options. Retail on the springs is about $200. You can get a good tint job for about $200. The visor is about $100. That totals $500 so the dealer is getting $1000 to do the install and profit. Too much.

Thanks everyone for all the info. You have helped me make a much more informed decision. That's why I'll be coming here first before I sign the papers at the dealer.
I knew something was wrong when I went to the Comptech website and saw the set of 4 springs for the CL listed at $299. I also know you can get a wind deflector for $50 bucks on the web and can easily install it yourself.
Thanks again!!!

Was this Nally Acura ? I had a BAD experience there. My wife hated the salesman. One of those HIGH-Pressure Guys.
Real Looser!
