I went to Keyes Acura recently to have my 01 CLS tranny checked out, and they basically jipped me out of $83 and a lot of time, but anyhow... I get something from them in the mail, and it's some dealer award crap through Acura, and they're trying to send me cupons.

One of the first things I learned about cars was that it's VTEC, not ViTek or vtech. Fucking VTEC.

I'm not really sure why it pisses me off, but shit, if I'm posting about it... it must be pissing me off.

Am I alone in this?

Well if you look at the coupon, it specifically says VTECH. Go there and say that you have vtec, and that you are not on the "vtech" exclusions list.

HAHAHA, nah guys... I talk to one guy, tell him that I'm hearing a definite whine from the tranny, and that the tranny shifting is a bit erratic and harsh, he says yeah it's probably a tranny problem, just come drop it off. They had no loaners so they put me in a fucking Elantra with no CD player, even.

Come back the next day...

"We didn't find ANYTHING wrong with the tranny."
"Ohh... kay... alright, then I'll be on my way."
"But now you have to pay for the rental and our service."
"Your tranny is defective, I was told that all the symptoms point to a tranny failure, and you're charging me?"
"Sorry Sir..."

Blah blah, he gets apologetic and I know he's just a drudge, so I don't argue with him. Was running late, or I woulda talked to his superiors.

Keyes wouldn't even change my lazy seatbelt retractor; they wanted to see it just "not working."
