Deadly Race Civic vs Accord
A driver injured in a drag race that turned deadly is expected to face charges Monday.
The drivers in a red Honda Civic and gold Honda Accord were drag racing down Schoenherr, near Eight Mile Road, about 5 p.m. Sunday when a Cadillac carrying a family came into their paths, Local 4 reported.
Witness Ron Koebler said that the Honda Civic and Honda Accord were racing at about 100 mph when the Cadillac pulled out. He said that the Honda Civic hit the Cadillac and spun it around into the Honda Accord, and the Honda Accord struck a telephone pole.
The 19-year-old man who was driving the Honda Accord was pronounced dead at the scene. Occupants of the other cars were taken to the hospital, including a 5-year-old child.
Neighbors said that they have seen the driver of the Honda Civic drag race before. Police plan to arrest him when he is released from the hospital, Local 4 reported.

I miss my 03 CL-S :(
This is going to sound awful, and the civic idiot sounds like a jerk, but... The Caddy driver should have noticed they were going too fast for him to merge if they were really going 100+
The other day I was at a light, turned green so I go at a good pace (but still under the speed limit) and this idiot woman with 5 kids on a camry station wagon comes off from a side road and merges like she owns the road, taking my lane and half of the lane to my right. I had to brake hard, the guy behind me almost rammed me.
If you see people coming towards you, is it really worth saving .02 seconds of your total travel time to jump in front of a line of traffic?
Idiots. I hate stupid people. I especially hate stupid people who drive minivans.

you cover a lot of ground at 100 mph. not everyone can see an approaching car and immediately determine its speed. if the limit was 35 in that area, there is no reason for other drivers to assume approaching traffic is going 100 mph

Now that's just plain stupid!
Dumb as shit, that's why we have racetracks and dragstrips.
They all are at fault, the caddy for pulling out, the two assholes for taking it to the streets, and the macho dick thing that all 3 had for thinking that nothing could happen to them at that time. Common sense just is at a premium nowadays!
To the kid who died, I betcha you won't do that shit again! Dumbass!
