DC Sports Header for 03 CL-S....

I am considering ordering these depending on the feedback I get. I have owned DC Sports Header, I had in my Accord, I gotta say that was the biggest bang for my buck. I would assume these are good. Anything DC Sports makes is good. Here is a link to a site selling them, any of you guys have DC?

Yeah I'd like to get them, DC like I said has always been a reputable company. 10-15HP gain isn't too bad either. I may just get them.

As of right now these are only for the automatics not the 6 speed, at least that is what Excelerate, and a few others have said. You may want to check with DC before you order just to make sure though.

I think that was a ballpark ave. figure for all the cars they make intake for, arent the comptech heads. almost 30?

DC has not released dyno #'s but it should be close to what the Comptech's put out if not the same, which was about 30 hp on the Type S models. I have a GB going on on these: https://acurazine.com/forums/sponsored-sales-group-buys-10/dc-sports-header-groupbuy-tsx-04-cl-tl-317085/

I have a bunch coming in. BTW that store you linked doesn't have them in stock.

Yeah I was just looking online. Not sure when I will actually place an order, but I'm very anxious.

Haha, that's funny. Thing is, I have some $$$, but trying to pay down a few cc's, you know what I mean. But I'm anxious for some more power, especially after driving my dads SRT8 Jeep, haha. See with my TL I only got an intake, I wanted the car to be quiet, but with the CL-S, that has so much potential, I want to get header and see what it does.

I bought them from Excelerate last month. Waiting on the shipment to come in still. As soon as I get them delivered and installed I will post Dyno info and pics.

He said they should be in this week. I'd expect them on my doorstep shortly after that. I'm getting anxious to find out what kind of true gains these headers can produce. I also have the Magnaflows and the CAI to install too but I'd like to get the headers on and then run the dyno to get accurate readings.

it's about time there's another viable choice for headers besides comptech

so far I've only heard good things about these. I've only heard of one case on a v6 accord where there may have been fitment issues, but it may have just been the problem of the installers.

I just posted to see if anyone had any updates on the headers. Seems some guys had some vibration issues but NSXNEXT made a suggestion which hopefully worked. I'd also love to see a dyno on these, because if it's close to Comptech then I will probably pick up a pair of these before lowering the car then.

Another question, would it be recommended to switch out the exhaust? I like the look of the stock but if it limits gains from the headers a lot then i'd be interested in switching out.

Hopefully I can have the dyno results for you guys within a month.

As far as the replacing the stock exhaust....I've heard and read you'll gain anywhere from +5 to +15 Hp with the upgrade. I'm sure if differs by the brand and by the car. Any thing that helps the exhaust move out of the engine faster and more efficiently is worth it IMO.

By replacing the stock exhaust you won't gain really anything, even with a catback system, 5hp if you are extremely lucky. Exhaust is just for looks and sound. If you meant 5-15 for headers we should be looking at 20-25hp gain. Comptech was just about that and the DC's are more or less the same design.

This was answered. No they don't fit. The rear header is not bent to clear the motor mount. DC has no plans to release a 6 speed version.

Dyno would definitely help. Doubt I would go for an upgraded exhaust at that point.

I am pretty sure he meant 5-15hp for the exhaust. But after searching it seems closer to 5hp.

I am hoping for around 25hp for the headers to make them somewhat comparable to Comptech.

I hope to get them by summer if not sooner. Very tempted to order now, hehe. Like you guys I want to hear more reviews about them. Hands down DC is a great company though.

TL thread has given them good reviews but still not one dyno. I think that's the only thing holding me back so far. Oh and the fact that I am still 4x4 so I can't decide on power vs. lower ride, don't want to spend that much on the car at once.

try this logic to help you make the jump sooner . . . .

you can put CT springs, sways and DC headers on for the price of new CT headers . . .

This is very true, but I wasn't ever considering CT Headers in the first place. To much money for the gains in my opinion. Is definitely a good way of looking at it though

However I thought I read that you need camber kits with the springs and possibly shocks so therefore that would increase the cost another 600-700.

That depends on how low you go. A more drastic drop would require you to get the camber kit. A more subtle drop you can just get the springs. I put the Eibach Pro Kit on my car and it ran me about $250 I think. No camber kit needed. Throw in the DC headers and you get a little more boost and a better ride for around $600.

Yeah I'm with you. I want my wheels, drop, and few other things done by summer, so it's hard to decide.

Hrmm..... I was thinking of the H&R OE Springs. So what you're saying is no camber or shocks needed?

If so, looks like i'll be getting it all next month then as I already spent money on tints and CT icebox this month. Still waiting on the intake to get in, getting a little anxious to install it.

I tried to help you convince yourself.

As for the camber kit issue, I've been running CT Springs and Sways for almost 4 yrs without any problems. As it was noted, it depends on how much the drop is.

You convinced me... It doesn't take much.

H&R OE Springs and the DC Headers. I will probably get these mid-to-late April.

I guess I'll be one of the guinea pigs for the 2nd GEN CL owners.
