I know that the DC Sport Headers work on the automatic CL-s, but how about the base CL (auto)?
Also im thinking about running a 2.5' pipe starting from the cats (keeping the cats on) all the way to the back, getting rid of the resonator and mufflers. If I top this off with the DC sport headers I'm pretty sure it'll be extremely loud but can/will it effect my engine negatively? How much can a 03 base CL safely handle? Has anyone tried any of this on a base CL lol?

 

It'll fit fine on a base CL. I wouldn't run straight piped, because it'll sound like shit. Just because an exhaust is loud doesn't mean it sounds good.

 

Had DC headers on my old base CL and with stock exhaust otherwise it sounded great.
