Sorry but that 14.2 with stock tires and intake + headers sounds like bullshit to me. Anybody see that run with their own eyes? Anybody seen the slip or any of the other info?
60' ?
1/8 mile?
If it's the truth then I'm mistaken and apologize for calling you out but damn that's hard to stomach a 14.2 in an auto with just those two performance mods. Also, a 14.2 @ 98?

I was expecting more of an outroar from this thread hehe...
i am robG: yeah, I kinda thought a 14.2 would require a higher MPH with our cars too.
still, if darrinb has got the papers to back it up then props to him...

the last time i was at the track, i was basically in the 14.30's the whole time, but traps were fluxuating from 96-99mph depending on the launch, shift points, and how many times i hit the rev limiter. :o
it's not as cut and dry as you think Rob, each run is different.
ps- do i need to post my slip now?

I actually managed sa 14.19 in the spring here. So a 14.2 is possible (45-50 degrees out)
(hope I don't have to digup my timeslip, because I wont, nor do i have any clue where it is)

No spare in trunk, no jack, removed sub box/amps
Gate shifting
AEM CAI
CT headers
Sumitomo tires /w tire pressure set low in front, high rear
It was perfect out for the run. I haven't been able to repeat it, some 14.2 runs, but not another 14.1 again . But... it's my personal best. I'll have to wait until the temp. drops to try again (97 degress today, and 70%+ humidity). However this is my 3rd tranny, and it definetly shifts different than the previous two. The 14.19 run was on my second tranny.
Nice runs b.t.w This car is a bit tricky to get off the line right. But once you get it down it goes good.
