damn left road lamp

My left road lamp keeps going out! Can anyone tell me if thats a manufacturers problem and if its under the warranty even though I replaced the bulbs with polargs? I always thought it just goes out but last night I saw another cl with the left road lamp out. This is the third time in 1 1/2 years I had my car. The right one has never gone out on me yet.

My advice would be to put the stock bulbs back in, then take it to the dealer and tell them what's up....sounds like a wiring issue to me.

Yea...thats your best bet, I've seen come CLs on the road with one lamp out, can't remember which one but it's probably a wiring problem like cheng said.

I believe there's a TSB for it.

EDIT: TSB #01031. For 2001 CL only.

that's yer CAI's way of telling u it needs more air

seriously, man...u've been on this board for over a year with only 24 posts???? sup with that???? u like being antisocial??

r u using stock road lamps??? if not, r u handling the bulbs with yer fingers??? if u r, the oils in yer skin may b causing the bulb to blow which may explain the continuous burnouts...otherwise, check the wiring connections to the road lamp housing..if that's ok, then wiring is prob the issue

Yeah I know I haven't posted much. Don't mean to seem antisocial. Alot of threads answered alot of questions.

Well, I put on rubber gloves everytime I change the bulbs. Wiring looks fine. I'll just tell my dealer about it and see what they have to say.

Anyone else use polarg m6? What do you think of them? Thats what I use but it just doens't seem bright enough compared to some pictures that I have seen in this forum.

i have the PIAA 19224's, which are basically the same thing...different angles produce different perspectives on the light...if u keep your lenses clean and clear, the light shining through will b a lot more detailed and crisp...whereas a not as clean lenses will give the appearance of a brighter look, but it will b less detailed and crisp

i dunno how much sense this makes, but i've compared friend's road lamps with mine, and i kinda like mine more b/c it's a more defined light, altho it is less bright

how much did you pay for your PIAA's. Maybe I'll give them a shot. Do PIAA's have the same installation problem that polarg m6 users have. That you have to be really careful removing and inserting the bulb?

I'm using PIAA 19224's too; same size as the Polargs and slightly different color. Nine months and the housings show no sign of discoloration (yet.)

BTW, there's a meet this weekend, weather permitting -

Damn, I wish I can make it but I'm getting married in 2 weeks so I have too many things to take care of. I've never been to a meet before, what goes on anyway? Does everyone who goes to these meets have mods on their cars? Because mine is everything stock except for a cheesy bazooka tube and tinted windows. Kinda intimidating to be around really nice sooped up acuras you know.
