Dammit

My neighbor just had the Hids off of his Lexus RX300 stolen while it was parked in his driveway last night!!

Some guys just approached me that live down the block and asked me "What are you gonna do about your Hids?" "How are you gonna protect them?"

I didn't give up much info cause I don't trust anyone right now

Me=nervous.

I think i'll sit outside all night tonight

These people aren't exactly smart. Also, if they had a successful trip in your neighborhood last time, what's to stop them from doing it again? Get an alarm asap.

mecury switch your hood if you have a good alarm. people jack shit all the time here. it really dosent matter if it was on the same street or not. if they want it bad enough they will get it. they were prob out look for that specific head light. so try not to worry. i worry some one is gunna steal my cbr600rr all the time

Do you park on the street? If you can talk to a neighbor about him parking right in front of your car so it's hard for the guys to get to your headlights

^if i parked outside and i told them the reason of why i wanted them to park in front of me, they would just laugh.

their good neighbors, but if they heard about recent hid thefts, they wouldnt sacrifice their car for mine.

It doesn't matter if he took out the HID's or not. He's still going to get hit if those fucking thieves want to steal his HID's, because from the outside you can't tell if they have been switched out or not, so they will assume his car still has the factory HID's in it and try to steal it. The only accomplishment he would get out of taking out the HID's beforehand would be that the thieves leave with nothing -- yet his car will still have a messed up front end, which, in most cases I heard, are costlier than replacing the HID's themselves -- hood, fenders, bumper.

Neighbor down the block had his 03 Maxima HIDs stolen the other day. Drive by his house and there is his car sitting there with both headlights removed.

i payed 500 for the viper 600 with remote start, shock sensors, all installed. but you would need to mecury switch the hood. when the hood is tilted the mecury rolls down a tube and makes a open circut to the alarm brain in turn setting off the alarm. u dont need a sensors per head light just one good placed mecury switch and some air horns under the hood and inside(loud as a bitch no thief would want to sit in it. :thief:

I recently saw an older woman with stolen HIDs out of a 2002/03 max (in Miami). i felt really bad for her as i saw her driving down the street with no headlights...that sux. these bastards might as well just steal the entire car while they're at it.
