Thumbs down Damaged & Fixed

Lady was nice enough to merge into me from a non-turn lane as I was getting onto the highway. She was 100% at fault for the accident (also captured on my dash cam). Repair place did a great job and it looks like new now.

Here's how it looked after she hit me.

Not offhand. Just looks like new. New fender, light, rim, fender liner, and side mirror. I'll take some soon.

What was the repair cost total? What dash cam do you use?

Repair cost was $2,567. SO happy they repaired it rather than totaling it. These cars really aren't worth much more than that repair cost these days.

Replaced the headlight assembly, fender, wheel. The other bits like the bumper (which had minimal scraping) were able to be repaired without replacement. Luckily black is easy to color match.

I have a G1W-1 dash cam. I installed it back in 2014 and it's been great. The C is key, as it's a capacitor, not a battery. The battery models die frequently and don't hold up in the heat and cold. I'd intended to install a BlackVue but this one has been great and I haven't had much need to do so. Been very happy with it. Inexpensive (I paid about $60 back at the time), good quality, and works well. I've captured plenty of interesting stuff on it over the years.

Is the example above the one with the 'capacitor' you speak of?

OR is it this one:

TIA

Sorry, I listed it wrong before, it's the G1W-C. The C is for capacitor. Looks like the one in the Amazon link.

I also use this mount. Hooks around the rearview mirror neck. Gets the camera up and out of the way and it holds steadier than a suction mount. Harder to tell it's there from the outside too. To make it blend in more, I took a black paint pen and painted the silver around the lens.

Nice! glad you could save it. I was going to say... I have a headlight for ya, but it looks like you already got this beauty back on the road.

The accident just took the plastic cover right off. Light was still interacted (thankfully as I just replaced both headlights about a month ago). So I was still able to drive at night for a few days before bringing it into the shop.
