Cylinder misfire detected

My check engine light has been going on and off for a few weeks, and when I hooked it up to my code reader it says "Cylinder 4 misfire detected". What are some causes that would make an engine misfire? I'm sure it will turn off as soon as I make it to the dealer.

I think if you get some harsh wheel hop it can throw a missfire code. Also hitting the rev limiter can possiby cause this.

Edit: Just read the original post again. Guess it's coming on and staying on. The 2 mentioned above only causse the light to blink. Sounds like it could be a coil pack or plugs.

I've had it blink during wheel hop, but now it just stays on. It's actually off at the moment, but I hope it comes back on because I'm scheduled to go to the dealer later this week.

If you didn't erase the code they should still be able to read it.

Just replace the plugs with Denso IK20's. I had this happpen on my CL-S6 a little over a year ago. I had a set of Denso IK20's laying around, swapped them in, cleared the code and it never came back.

Apparently there were some problems experienced with the NGK Iridium plugs in the 6-Speed. Replacing them cures the problem.

Update

Went to the dealer today to get it cheked out and they said "code was most likely caused by a flooded situation. This is normal when vehicle is driven a short distance then sitting a while." They cleared it and I went on my way. As my luck would have it the CEL came back on a few hours later. I went back and they said I should bring it in next week and they would have to call Acura to see what they recomend doing. They said it was possible that an injector or a coil pack has went bad. Has anyone elese had to get these parts replaced? I guess it's safe to drive it until they can do the repair next week.
