customer service fee?
customer service fee?
Hello everyone,
Today I went to a local Acura dealer to talk about my CL-S driveout price. I was surprised that there is a $300 "Customer Service" fee involved in the negotiation. Did anyone have to pay a similar fee?
Anyway, I plan to get it next Saturday. My ideal driveout price was $32,600. He offered $32,955. (With Navi, splash guard, wheel locks, and some kind of coupon booklet)
What do you guys think?
Thanks,
j

You should do better than that. I got $32k even with nav, spoiler, fender edge guards. They tried to hit me with a $300 admin fee adn and etching fee and the wheel locks but I agreed only to a $100 admin fee because the lady actually helped me alot with my stupid out of state insurance co.
And that was in October - prices have gone down since then. WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED? WE HAVE ALOT OF KNOWLEDGE HERE ON DEALERS IN ALL REGIONS - YES I KNOW I AM SHOUTING TO SAVE YOU $$

Yea, saving money is good.
I am in Atlanta, GA. Don't think I saw anyone here from down south yet, but let me know if you got yours around this area...
MikeS 18 -- How you manage to get all that for $32K? For my zip code, Carsdirect.com has the base CLS for $30649 (+ TTL)... which is still better than Edmunds' TMV.

I paid $27995 for my CL-S just 3 weeks ago. That's $ 130 below the posted factory invoice,so that leads me to assume that Acura is offering the dealers some kind of holdback incentive. This was a newspaper advertsed price.I cannot take any credit for getting this good price. There was no negotating needed on my part.
Please don't settle with the dealer price, or try to work down from the window sticker.
It is beneficial for you to work up from invoice price,on the car,and on the dealer installed options. If there are other Acura dealers within a hundred miles or so from each other, work them against each other. Let them price fight for your business. Use prices that you find in web sites to help you with the dealers,(www.greenlight.com )
www.kbb.com . You can buy most dealer installed options at www.ahmotors.com Use their prices as bartering tools.I got one of the dealerships in my area to match A&H's prices. DON'T PAY TOO MUCH FOR THAT NEW CAR !
Mike
P.S.They can sell you that car for $30,600 or some dealer somewhere will

Sounds like you are getting taken for a ride Kid. What a RIP OFF! Don't buy from that dealership.
Tell'em you'll give them $30K even and see what they will come to. Just walk off if they won't give you what YOU want to pay. I got mine in May, with spoiler, 100K mile warranty, locks, for $29,500 OUT THE DOOR.
