Arrow Custom V1 mirror mounts

Has anyone ever bought anything from this company?

Among other things, they make custom Mirror and Visor mounts for the C5 & C6 Corvette.
By the looks of the photos, it seems they could be easily modified for the CL or other cars.

Price isn't too bad, but I don;t know which one would work best.

Can't see how the last one mounts to the mirror (or if it does at all)

I like the idea but hate the placement-I'd be worried about vision out of a car I already sometimes have problems with.

I had my old V1 mounted off the bottom of the mirror in my Gen II Legend Coupe for years and I never had a problem.
I used a “less eloquent” method of mounting though.
I just bent a piece of black sheet metal that I had and used two self-tapping screws into the back of the mirror.
I wouldn’t do that with this car though, with all the light dimmer and OnStar crap inside there.

Gonna do some “field measurements” this weekend and see if it looks like it would fit.

I guess if it doesn’t fit, I’ll just have to buy a C6 so I have something to use it on.
Think the wife will go for that?

I just used the suction cup mount and placed it under the mirror:

No reduction in rear radar detection even though its behind the mirror (radar will travel through the plastic) and i've never seen anyone use laser from the rear, ever. And if I get hit with laser i'm fucked anyways so it doesn't bother me.

Remote display mounted on the steering column.

Don't know. I can tell you I have my toll pass thing behind the tint strip right above the mirror, & it reads just fine.

I am running the bracket in the 3rd and 4th picture. (In my Z) I had to do a little modifying, but not much. Trickiest part was getting a replacement screw to secure everything like normal. ( not that it was hard )

another thing to think about.. it is if you guys actually use the feature of flipping your rearview up at night.... looks like the Valentine blocks the switch.

I have mine clipped to the Passenger visor and I don't have any problem with signals. Followed Red Rider who has used this setup for years - Hardwired and clipped to the passenger visor. Pretty inconspicous there also.

I thought most of your other vehicles had a police escort to the cemetery when driven.
Why would you need a V1 in those?

After looking at the brackets on that website and doing some exploratory fitments in the car yesterday, I think I have an idea for how I want to mount it.
I will probably lose rear LASER detection, but still retain rear RADAR function.
Both visors will be usable and the detector will be almost completely hidden.

I’ll take pictures of my install if/when I get it to work the way I want.
I don’t know if I have to buy one of these or I can come up with something on my own like I did in my Legend.

I've been thinking the same thing. Anyone have an extra rear view to take apart and try it out?

That looks interesting. But the two pictures look like a different mirror (see the black half circle where you can see the V1). Also, this is for a window mount. And we'd lose the Self Dimming.

Looking again, the half circle may be the power control so you'd have fingerprints all over the mirror to turn it off when/if you needed to. Would be nicer to hook that up to the button on the bottom.

Gives me more ideas though. Anyone know where I can pick up a spare rearview for less than the $90 Acura charges for it?
