custom ipod mount in notepad holder
i finally finished up my installation of my ipod in the notepad holder. it was really easy to do but you have to buy a new dock and a car charger for the ipod. the only hard part was making sure the sliding mechanism still worked but even that was solved pretty easily using a ziptie.
here are some pics...i don't kno how to post em into the thing so whatever...if one of you want to go ahead

i've gotten a couple pm's about this so here are some more pics

basically i'm using the audio out from the dock (that way you control the volume from the headunit only, the volume on the ipod doesn't matter) with one of those headphone to rca jacks (i guess that's a 1/8)...it splits into 2 rca jacks and goes into the blitzsafe.
as you can see it looks kinda ghetto but you can't see any of it when the dock is in there, only if you pull it all out
i used a rotary tool to cut the 2 front pieces that hold a pen...i pretty much just eyeballed it...
you should save these pieces to glue down so that your ipod dock doesn't move around
the hole i cut out behind the dock is so that the audio out jack and the charger wires can lay flat in the notepad holder so that it can still slide
the hole in the back is obviously for the wire...the 2nd hole on the left was a mistake, but whatever no one is ever going to see that either....
overall it really only took a couple hours to do...it's really not hard at all and it works great for anyone who has an ipod....
if you have any other questions feel free to ask
