custom exhaust

I'm considering some custom exhaust, something different and a little cheaper than comptech, or HKS. I was thinking about some Magnaflows like these. Anyone have any suggestions/opinions/advice?

Make four like twice as big circumference and you got it.

Thanks for the votes.

Anybody have any experience with Magnaflow, like how it will sound?
Is the installation process just cutting out the stock mufflers, and welding these in?
Thanks-

Yeah, so far I'm leaning towards #4 myself. But no one has any experience swaping mufflers to tell me what to expect?

Hey I had 2 magnaflow mufflers like these installed on my ride for about 3 months. The muffler shop just cut out the old ones and welded on teh new ones... costed abotu $100. I am in the process of selling mine with the factory axle-back piping for around $300.

Danny25 I know that sometimes it is good to be different, but I think those exhaust will look like the Comptechs once installed. Also even if you can buy them for cheaper how much is it going to cost in customizing them to fit. Just my .02

I like oval tips for our cars. I can't tell from the pic, but 5 seems to be ovalish in size. If it is, I like dat one.

I don't mind the exhaust looking like comptechs, I just didn't want to spend $600 for 2 mufflers. And hope fully the install won't be that much, like skarface32 said...the shop just cut out the old ones and welded in the new ones for about $100. I checked prices for those Magnaflows and they're b/w $75-$85 plus shipping. So maybe $300 at the most, I can live with that.

They sounded quiet... not even as loud as comptech. If you remove a resonator or 2 though.... they deepen a lot and sound damn nice... I have HKS SuperDraggers now though and I like them much more...

What do you mean by remove a resonator or 2, is that something in the muffler I can customize?

In between the catalytic converter and the mufflers is a secondary resonating chamber... basically a big baffle chamber to quiet the exhaust.. look under the car and you see it just infront of the rear axel.
