Custom Box

box
First get the square area requirements for the specified subs you want to use and make sure these specs are for the type of box you want (sealed, ported, bandpass). Create a design that meets or exceeds the square area requirements (keep in mind larger boxes means boomy bass, and smaller boxes makes tighter, snappy bass) and a design that is possibly creative or different. Use the proper tools and proper materials. MDF board can be found at Home Depot as well as Industrial wood glue. Keep in mind when building the box that it must be air tight with exception to the possible port. Attempt to design the box with scissors and tape out of carborad to make sure you can actually complete the project with wood. Cut, screw, glue box together and there you have it.
