I can get these done in fibre glass right now if I wanted and prolly sell a shit load, but i will not have my company name associated with a half ass product. I was gonna do the kit in poly eutethane, but now I am considering doing it in ABS plastic like the stock bumper. that is the best way to maintain fit and finish, as well as conformity. be patient, good things take time.

Rondog I was wondering if you had already came up with a design for the rear bumber. If not and still working on one here's a thought, I was checking our your graphic design page and saw the Donz wheel SLK. Looking at the rear of the SLK and your car with the Versus kit I can see a somewhat likeness in the design lines of the vehicles. Remembering the SEMA kit on the rear of the CL they also have a common feature that brings the kit out its the way it covers or hugs both sides of the tailpipes with a darkened medium kind of giving it that somewhat of a carbon fiber look which I think looks hot on both cars and gives it a more sporty yet classy look. Let me know what you think. I myself think this would look awsome on our cars especially the guys with the aftermarket exhaust it'll compliment the exhaust nicely!!!! Would anybody else agree with me?

I spoke with one of the reps from comptect at the SEMA and asked him about the car and the kit he told me a company called five axis moldels I believe it was came up with the kit, they actually had another car they just finished it was their new creation kit for the orange scion that had the rear door extend out with a platform attached to it that turned into a dj booth pretty crazy I asked what the value of the kit was on the cl he said it was some where up in there in the $100,000 range only because it was a one of a kind kit!

LOL..yeah there is no doubt I love the SEMA kit but come on now..$100k for that alone..most people who own cl's do not have that kind of money to spend on a kit alone..and if they do they must be filthy rich.

$100k is absolutely ridiculous. That guy pulled that number out of his ass. Not to spill the beans, but a local body shop in MD quoted a member here $2,500 to replicate the SEMA kit in fiberglass. Production hasn't gone any farther than the quote. I'd expect more news in a few months if he decides to go through with it.

I agree with everyone that is a high ass price to pay for a kit and $2500 sounds about right what a body shop would charge. If you think about it though the body shop is just recreating a copy. The SEMA kit had to be designed thought out maybe even tested for aerodynamics then depending on materials that had to be used to produce a show stopper finish for a well know and sought out company like Comptech the price range is going be up there I can't recall where I came across this info but 100,000 sounds about right for what it would be for a one off kit for a big company. Although pricey as it may be it does get across what it was designed to do and that is to grab your attention and make you feel like a little school girl because you want it !!!!

I spoke to Purestyling briefly and I am going to try to make every effort to make this happen even if it means giving them partial distribution control. as long as the kit is under the RonJon name brand and we get a shitload of them, we can get this done. We'll just see when i meet with them. I wouldn't even mind advertising that it is built by PureStyling. this is going to be great, i can't wait to get this off the ground. i just hope everybody doesn't trade in their CL's.
This is hands down my favorite, gives it that modern TL design, but still keeping the CLness. If you flatten out the grill and what not, it would loose IMHO some of its natural, original looks.

So $100,000 is what it will cost to make this happen? IS this for front bumper only or full body kit for the car? Well for whole body kit, once your done with this production you can sell it for like 500 unpainted to like 20 people and you get your money back.. But if 20 people is too much people to wait on then sell the kit for like 700 unpainted and it only brings you down to 15 peeps..
Just front bumper then you can sell it a little cheaper. People will afford it. JUst dont overprice it. I say this cause you are doing most of the work so you can afford to not overprice it. I would understand if you charged $$$$$, if you had a team with you cause you gotta pay them....
Just an idea.

Anything for us 2gen TLs?? Nothing in the market looks that different and sporty yet classy and refined. Is there a way to change it just a bit to fit the 01-03 TLs? I am talking about your CL kit of course.

So is there a pretty accurate gestimate of how much the kit is gonna end up being? I might be able to dish out the cash for it. Oh, and how bad would it look on stock height?
-Hah. i said gestimate.
