CT part install..

Hey guys,,,quick Q..just picked up a Comptech Polished Oil Cap and Silver Battery Tie Down...just wondering what a fair price to install them would be...I was qouted $95 over at Midas..I also had to bolt on my CT exhaust, but couldnt get the bolts off...they said they would unbolt them for $50...

The polished oil cap and battery tie down is easy to install yourself. Might as well just install that on your own and save yourself 95 bucks.

ps...I asked them about the bolts first...figured it would be around $20 or so just to LOOSEN them, so I can swap em out later....but when they said $50, I figured might as well ask lol

try using some break loose spray it should do the trick. You can get a can at Pep Boys or Kragen.

if not than just heat the bolts up like my friends do at the performance shop. Works everytime. If your not that far from philadelphia i could ask him how much he would charge for installation if you want.

I'm glad you werent serious, that woulda been a new low for this forum. I know people on here dont like installing stuff themselves, but jesus christ.

Post up some pics when you figure out how to get them installed.

Do you have an Icebox?

I found it damn near impossible to install the battery tie down with the Icebox installed.

wd-40 on the exhaust bolts then get some good torque and it should come loose
