Hey, lay off the 924S. I had one prior to my CL!!! They are the funnest cars to drive. Sure you guys with your Type-S's may beat it drag, but take in on a rallyX, and it will put you guys to shame!

This might be true...but I can also use my miata and put that car to shame as well...and beat it in a straight line.

yep

Yep had two 924's. Fun at the time.
Certainly nothing to look at now. Both were slow by todays standards.

Graduated to a Carrera,928, then 4 944's, including a 330hp turbo '44 which killed everything on the hway. All great cars.

Huh, I didn't know they made a 924 turbo. Cool, wonder what it's specs are. Shitty he blew a head gasket! OUCH!

I know in 1986 they introduced the 944 turbo, which is a pretty fast car, low 14's stock. 14.2 if i remember correctly, I think they also made one more edition of it in the later 80's that was even a little quicker.

nice kill

yep

Yep the original 44 turbo had 217 hp. 14.2 stock. The S version pushed it to 247 with a 1/4 of 13.8. Had great TQ. Mine pulled a good honest 12.9 all day long. One hell of a slot car. Awesome Brembo brakes, handling, and all. To this day one of my favorite cars of all time.

924 turbo had around 143 hp I believe. This from 115 hp. They went through head gaskets like gas. Hit 60 in 9.3 seconds. Now the rare 924 turbo GT Carrera had over 280hp and of course much faster and very rare. Sold in Europe only.
