crazy idle
For the past week, my idle has been jumpy mainly when the engine's cold. This morning though, when I started it up, the idle started climbing to almost 2500rpm. Does it sound like an idle control that's about to go out?

My friends prelude does that all the time .. its a bad sensor I forget the name of it though. He hasnt gotten around to changing it yet. Sometimes it only does it til the car warms up and sometimes it'll do it the entire time.
Theres no way the hyper ground kit could've eliminated the "ticking" at idle .. that is just the normal noise that the EVAP thing makes...

2500 rpm does seem a little to high...and I've seen many Idle Air Control Valve's go bad w/o setting a check engine light. During a cold start-up u shouldn't be getting any higher than 1500rpm....but even that should only last like a minute.

When my rpm's started dipping a little like the engine was going to stall, the Acura Tech said that it is related to winter and summer gas. He said that the warm weather was confusing the engine.
Is the whole summer and winter gas true?

no the gas will not do that... it is more than likely the IAC like Anthony stated... there is a screw you can adjust but you must disconnect the battery... they filled the hole where the screw is located with wax so you cannot adjust it..
Take it in for service...
I found mine by asking Scalbert and reading my helms... After the Supercharger was installed I needed to adjust it.

IAC Valve
It is the IAC valve that needs cleaning (or replacing). I have had a similar problem on my 2001 CL-S when it sat for 6 days, but it fixed itself... But I still have a slight cold start and idle problem, and now that it's out of warranty, I'm ready to try to clean the IAC vave myself. But I've done some searches here and at A-TL.com, but haven't really found the proper procedure. Anyone?
