There was a topic several days ago about someone in CL Type-S being hit with a pick up or something? I don't remember who posted that but I was wondering, if the car is found to be total loss will the insurance company keep it and if not would the owner be interested in selling a couple of parts off the car since mine kind of got vandalized

Or if anyone has and willing to sell a driver side front fender (Silver) and left headlight assembly (don't need bulbs or HID module just the damn headlight itself )

 

Damn... I need a black front right fender.

I saw a silver Type-S w/spoiler on 205 East in Tracy last Saturday. I think they were trying to get on the freeway and a moving truck hit him. Along with 2 other cars. Looks like the driver's front fender was messed up.
When I saw that, it almost made me cry. I hate to see a fellow Acura owner have to deal with this.

Anyone here?

insurance companies keep the car and write a check to the owner and the lien holder. no way to get parts.

If the vehicle is a total loss the owner can ask the insurance company for the vehicle. The insurance company salvages the vehicle to a wrecking yard, that salvage cost is subtracted from the settlement and the owner can take the vehicle and the reduced settlement.
