crashed the CL

alright, long story short: some fool cut me off hard and i rammed into the sidewalk. as far as damages-right front lower bumper is gone, radiator is cracked, steering is very stiff, so i assume i messed up an axle? something came up from under the hood causing a dent. hood can't be opened so i can't see how bad it is from under. headlights are fine. not a scratch. luckily i was only like 2 mins away from home. as i was driving, that temperature needle climbed quick. later did i know from my friend that you can blast the heater and it'll cool the engine down. no damage on the rims. i don't have collision coverage so this will all be out of my pocket. needed to downgrade to liability because full coverage will cost me a fortune. the reason behind that is that i have one too many points on my record, and if i count this one, it'll probably put me on suspension. i'm heartbroken.

damn, sorry to hear about that...I know the feeling w/ the the insurance thing. I'm pretty much the same way (too many points), only i have collision with high deductibles to keep the rates affordable. Glad to hear you're ok and I really hope the damage doesn't cost you too much.

Glad you're OK. Sucks about not having full coverage though. I can't afford not to have it. I was paying $5000 a year for the 3 cars on it for a while and I gave up a lot to pay that.

Hopefully the repairs are not really high.

sorry man. it sucks when you put a lot of work, time and $$$ into your car and something like this happens. atleast you're ok. did the other driver stop or even know what they caused?

that is really shitty. times like that is why i allow the insurance company to rape me. because eventually they will have to pay as well.

WOW. $3200 a year is nuts. I paid about $1700 for full coverage in Jersey. How old are you?

You're also male and under 25, so that doesn't help your case

my new insurance coming up is 250/month (500 deductable comp/coll) from the accident i had. kinda sucks but will drop off next year.

also 25 with a clean record...Neglegent ticket dropped in court recently...batteling the accident ticket in 2 days. that should be dropped as well because it was nasty out and the driver i hit didn't have insurance nore a license and shouldn't have been on the road.

Anybody on the road with no insurance or drivers license is a pure fuckhead. And shouldn't be on the road.

Ha ha, don't ever live in Arizona then, highest rate of uninsured drivers in the nation. Plus just terrible overall drivers out here. Roll overs like no tomorrow.

miami drivers are the WORST!!! but the pros outweigh the cons.

state farm, 29, male, miami, clean record = $850/6mo...which is amazing compared to some quotes from progressive, geico and some others...

i will not pay $4000/year for insurance.

29/male/Arizona/VERY blemmished driving record/$840@6months. American Family Insurance. I do have a $1000 deductible though, which makes it a lot cheaper monthly, but if something happens and it's my fault, I'm out at least $1g.
