That's weird ... I have 19 months and 35,000 miles and no problems with the inside handles. I would think the dealer will replace them under warranty ... good luck.

My chrome is coming off on the passenger side door handle (on the inside) and my girlfriend got cut on it when she was opening the door!

I'm going to get it replaced under warranty...

Too bad the cut wasn't worse or she could get a new car too!

I am having the same problem with my 2001 cl type s. Both inside door handles are shedding the plastic chrome leaving sharp edges. I think I am going to try to have the dealer replace them but I am not looking foreward to door rattle problems in the future from a panel that needs to be disturbed for replacing crappy O.E.M. handles. Would have thought Acura would have made sure a high use item like the door handle would be a quality one.

This is a common problem on hondas and acuras

Seen many hondas with the inside door handle becoming loose and/or the fake chrome peeling. My sister's Legend has nearly all handles peeled out.

Its amazing honda hasnt done anythig about a decade old problem
