A couple questions about making a Turbo for a CLS-6:

I probably won't do it but i have a couple of thoughts wondering around. I have this idea that maybe one day i might want to make a very small turbo for my car.

Like, small to where i would only be pushing around 300whp.

My 2 questions:

1). Is there any way i can get a little turbo in without having to re-locate my battery?

2). Is it possible to see gains if i don't want an intercooler?

-I know these questions are dumb, and in reality i probably am just going to go all motor, but you never know.

Answers would be appriciated, thanks.

1) Battery relocation is necessary unless you're going with one of those squires turbo kits which will hook up to your exhaust which I wouldn't recommend.

2) yes

If you want around 300, get a supercharger.

+1 if your looking to get that little of a hp gain its more cost effective to go the S/C route and alot easier.

I know but the thing is, I HATE the whine on supercharged CL's. It's just my personal opinion. I'm not saying it's right or wrong to anyone who has one. I think it sounds out of place on any car that isn't a muscle car. Anyway, I would supercharge it if there is a way to get rid of the loud whine, but i don't think there is....

I would rather hear spooling and blow off any day over the whine, atleast the vids I saw with the chargers they sounded horrible.
Not to say they don't sound good in person. I Have never heard one in person.
nitrous will give you a very cool sound w/a little power.

do a simple 75 wet shot. $600-$800 and ur pusing 300+, just get a good tune, so u need a piggy back, another $300 or so. and ull be good to go. just fill the bottle from time to time

cant wait for the nitrous hater to chime in

I'd be happy with the charger whine or the turbo spool and BOV! I'm not picky!
