...kindly scan the pages on disassembling the rearview mirror. Today it was 104degrees out, I came to get in my car this afternoon about 5 o'clock only to look in the rearview and notice the autodim had shattered and taken over the mirrow

I think there was a TSB about exploding rear view mirrors, if you are under warranty or can convince the dealership to good-will it you may get lucky.
