i dont know the tructh on that integra bein a cop. he may be a undercover car but doubt it, I had problems with my old whisper radar detector pickin up so other radar detectors some times. he probally had one of those that set yours off.
or maybe it was a cop and it was a drug bust car. My gf friensds is a dade county cop and he drives a infinit I300 and they hjave ferrarris and all sort of other cars they use as undercover cars. WHat the **** is this world comin to when u cant race a honest ferrari and not get pulled pver. WTF!!!!

Are you sure it was a cop? Did you see a radar? Did you see a uniformed officer inside (despite the tint)? I have had full K-band alert for other cars that had a leaky radar detector.

In any case, your state/local government determines your laws. I've heard in some places "no more than 10% of the police fleet can be unmarked vehicles." It wasn't the cops that made up those laws, you can help change them. Don't you guys vote in Florida? Oh, I forgot....

probably not a cop..some radar detector sets each other off..they "leak" or whatever

or maybe he had somekind of radar device(for example..sometimes i play around the highway with my golf swing speed meter that uses radar..setting off peoples detectors )

I've heard that cops are trying to crack down on street racing. And they are using impounded imports to try to get people to race them. So be careful on who you are revving against at the stoplight. Someguy on the hybrid board supposedly passed an integra that was driving erract and the car then followed him to his house and gave him a ticket for street racing. When in turn he thought the guy in the car was trying to start a fight/road rage.

At this point, here's how the cops are looking at things: Don't complain about being baited into street racing and driving fast and trying to get away from somebody chasing you, etc. Today, that won't work and you'll get ticketed and the judge is going to agree with the police.

Not that I totally agree with baiting ordinary street drivers into doing something wrong but look at it this way: Get in your Acura, pretend like you are an undercover police officer. Go out on the freeway and rev your engine, taunt other drivers, see how many people you can get to break the law. Very few, if any. When you do, you'll know right away that they deserve to be ticketed. It's that clear.

My 2 cents. Flame away.

Here in PA the ONLY cars that can pull you over are marked police cars. We had some guy impersonate a cop a year or two ago and they said this on the news. Don't pull over if some Integra uses one of those teardrop lights you can get at Spencers. in other words, the only cars that can legally pull you over up here are the ones that have the light bars and say POLICE on the hood. If the law is differnet' in FL, that's pretty stupid. Anybody can can buy a light and stick it in their windshield.
