coolant bleed valve?

coolant bleed valve?

Would someone please show me a pic of where the coolant bleeder valve is? Or at least describe for me where? I might install an icebox this weekend and it seems like I need to replace the coolant lines.

leave the rad cap off and wait till the t-stat opens

The bleed (for getting rid of unwanted air) should be located at the highest point of the cooling system. If all else fails, ask the dealer.

In conjunction with that, here is what Joe at Comptech told me about my Icebox Installation:

Anil,
Thanks for the good review. I'll check and see about the hose clamps you
referred to. It's great to hear that you had no hitches on the install.
As far as the coolant goes, you can pop off your radiator cap while the
motor is running and squeeze the top radiator hose to get out the air
bubbles. You'll need to keep squeezing the hose until no more bubbles come
out. But to minimize any future problems, we do recommend bleeding the
system to guarantee that there are no air bubbles. Thanks again!
