Considering the exhaust

I just talked to my GF, and she will be giving me $600 for exhaust. I was thinking either COmptech or Mugen. I know Mugen is double the price, but would I gain any benefits from getting it?

Go with the Comptech- try to hear them first. I have them and out of 34 people who have listened to them when interested - 30 have purchased them! Great sound without being too loud. Just my opinion

I just wish they had our cool ovular tips! I think the round ones make it look too much like an accord.

I was one of them who heard but haven't bought....yet. Tripping to Europe in two weeks so I must save some lire for now. But as I said I did hear the Comptech exhaust and it sounded wonderful to me. And this was in park with some easy revs.
Sounded like a big clean running eight. I'll own one in a couple of months when I return from Italy and start back to work.

I just got my Comptech exhaust put on my car and it sounds great...not louder at high RPMs but just adds a little grunt when the motor is between 2000-4000RPMs...very nice sound...you can tell your car is running now...ehhe

Can the "OVULAR" tips NOT be encorporated into the Comptech exhaust ? Weld job ?

Well I think I'm one of the four people of every 30 who wouldn't want the comptechs - I've been around them in real life and didn't know except when I looked closely.

IOW, they didn't make enough noise.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to hear HKS Super Dragers and GReddy dual EVOs soon so I can decide if either of those suit my taste.

I was thinking the same thing. My Dad owns a muffler/brake shop, and it never looks that smooth if you add tips (by welding) to an existing exhaust, especially since you can see the muffler and tips easily from behind the car.
