My CompuStar alarm K.I.A on Sunday for no reason. It just stopped working. I checked the fuses today, fused were good. I checked the remote programming function, it worked but wouldn't recognize and communicate with the remote. Checked tach learning, no response. I'm confident to say the damned bit the dust. Oh well, I should expect this since the company is located in Alaska and the product was made in Korea

maybe just your remote went bad, are u sure ur actual alarm on the car is bad?

check the batteries, my batteries on my alarm remote died after 1 year of use.

it's the brain that went dead. I installed the sucker myself so I know. The remote has battery indicator and I did change the battery.

yeah, I think someone tried to steal the car while I was driving it because it worked when I got in the car but didn't work when I got out of the car

 

I would say compustar should replace the bad brain for free, but since it wasn't bought, & installed by a dealer, they won't honor the warranty. Could have been just a bad brain to begin with & it finally went.
