everyone talks about the ss brake lines making the brakes feel more "solid". Can someone with the lines please give me a little more insight.
My father in law has ss lines on his jeep and when you drive it it feels like he doesnt even have power brakes... You have to put alot of pressure on the brake pedal to get the damn thing to stop.. Is that the same feeling that comes with the ss lines for the cls?
If so, why would you want to work harder pressing the pedal for the same stopping power?

The pressure is more linear. When you stop with rubber hoses...they can expand....causing loss of pressure to the calipers, and thus creating some "brake fade". The lines are designed to work with better brake fluid (Dot 4 +) which is a high temp brake fluid that would normally eat at rubber brake lines...I have them on...and brake pedal feel is firmer. The key is to properly bleed the brakes.
