Comptech springs lower on driver's side...help!
i just got my comptech springs installed yesterday at the dealership. i love the handling and looks, BUT the front driver's side of the car is about 3/8" lower than the front passenger's side.
anyone else have this problem?
the dealership said that its probably a normal variance in the car, but i never heard anything about it on acura-cl, nor could i notice it in any of the members pics.
what do y'all think?

did you use a bubble level or plumb bob or something? (laser survey equipment?)
did you try to measure from the ground to a particular point on the car? (and if so, did you take the same measurement from the same point on the car in the same place on the pavement to be sure the difference doesn't lie there?)

Simply measure from the top of the tread on of tire to the bottom of the fender (the Wheel gap should tell you if they are set ok)

Webtoker is right. The springs, if I remember correctly were labeled left and right to compensate for the weight of the driver. The puzzling part is that you probably were not in the drivers seat when you noticed the problem so I'm wondering if the left side springs are a bit stiffer as opposed to a smidge taller. Nevertheless unless you were parked sideways to an incline then the front (and of course the rear) ends should be even.
I'm betting the installer munged up the left with the right. Where did you get them done?

The springs are not marked left and right but Comptech does want the higher spring rate on the driver's side as most vehicles typically are driven with only the driver in the car.One thing to check is to make certain that the springs are properly seated in the lower spring mount. If they are not mounted correctly it will cause this problem.Take a look at your lower spring perches and you will see that they are not flat plates but are in fact stepped to accept the end of the spring.Make certain that the end of the spring is seated in this step. Also verify that the springs are seated fully in the upper strut mount. You will probably need to jack the car up to see both mounts.Jens

And I know you didn't listen to anything worthwhile your mom said because only a dumbass wouldn't notice that it wasn't webtoker who said they were labeled but me. So what are you doing typing in the dark, one handed? And I stand corrected already as I said "If I remember correctly" they were labeled. It's been cleared up already so whats your point about your post?

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Mom once said to think before speaking, or in this case, punching keys....Show me a set of CL-S comptech springs labeled left and right. The dealer in this case clearly knows more than you as you haven't measured any stock -S's to discover that there is a ride height variance from right to left.

i actually got my measurments by using a clear ruler and used the same points to get acurate measurements. and i did actually go to the back of the dealership (which had probably 50 CL-S's in stock) and measure the heights of 3 CL-S's. on average, they all were about 1/8" lower on the driver's side...but NOT 3/8"! if this can't get resolved i'm going to just go back to stock. i definetely don't like the way it looks. i already ordered the sway bars, and hopefully they will somewhat make-up for the loss in handling if i go back to stock.
Did you measure it on a flat surface? I know that sounds like a dumb question but I remember thinking the same thing when I got mine installed and it just ended up that I was looking at the car while it sat on very slight inclines. Try taking peeks at the gap on different surfaces. It may just be when the car is on slightly uneven surfaces.
About the spring rates--I would assume that with no one in the car the springs should sit the same and no difference should be observable between the height of the driver's vs. passenger's side. Only when you start adding weight and compressing the springs should a difference be noticeable.
