Comptech Spring Koni Question?

I have the Comptech Spring on the TypeS with the factory shocks. When my shocks go I was thinking about getting the Koni Adjustable Shocks that Comptech sells on there site for the TypeS. My question is since the springs are all ready on with the factory shocks, do I have to get a another set of spring to go with the Koni, cause wouldnt the spring be broken in for the factory shocks?
thanks

No need to get new springs, just get the Koni's and have them installed!! You can get them from Tim at ACP or just search the web. You don't have to pay Comptechs price. They are the same shocks as the 98 - 01 accord V6 coupe!!! You can get a set new for like $500. You will LOVE them when you do get them!!!!

Well the yellows are damper adjustable, while the reds I believe are not. Those are the only differences I think, it's probably a good idead to get all four yellows (the ones Tim sells), even tough the struts in the rear are a bitch and a half to get to and adjust (anyone drill holes in the rear deck lid to get to those!! ). I wasn't able to click on the link, but if you get them from Tim i'm pretty sure he won't do you wrong. As for the springs, you won't have to buy another set. The only thing you're probably going haveto cough up again (other than the price for the Koni's) is for the install (which are the same as the springs, so you end up paying twice for that ) and an alignment (which i highly recommend).

Get the Yellows!!! They are adjustable!!! The reds and blacks are NOT!!! The website that WILD posted is very good. I have ordered from them before and they have good customer service and great prices!!!

Actually, I just checked and Tim's prices are better. The Option Auto shocks are priced EACH and Tim's are for the pair. The Neuspeed Koni's have a shorter shaft, but since you have the Comptech's, I would go with the regular Koni's. The Neuspeeds are for a larger drop!!!

well..

You're going to haveto watch that, alot of places (Tim is an exception) list the price for each strut, wether than for the pair (much like those damn stereo places that list speaker prices, they're all a piece, but who in the hell is just going to buy just one speaker??)

The Koni yellows have made a huge difference in the handling, along with the Comptech springs. I think they're a great match.
