CompTech Rear Sway Bushing Options: polyurethane vs. hard rubber
Spoke with CompTech yesterday about the squeaking polyurethane bushing issue regarding the CT rear sway bar. Althought the polyurethane bushing provides the best rigidity for performance, it will always be prone to squeak. To address this problem, they are working on an alternative hard rubber bushing that shouldn't have this squeaking issue, but will be a little less rigid with a slight loss of performance.
How long ago did you do this? CompTech said, depending on how you drive, expect to have to reapply teflon tape and/or grease every 3-6 months, cause the tape wears out and the grease gets squished out since bushing is not designed to hold grease.
