Comptech Headers for auto.
I was reading the posts on the groupbuy for Comptech Headers and am wondering those with auto and comptech headers do you relly get that much of a perfomance gain with an auto? Your thoughts are appreciated

do yourself a favor and pick up a set of OBX headers for your CL-S automatic, they are 1/3 the price of comptech and are the exact design (admittedly, not quite the same level of weld quality or craftsmanship, but they are of equal grade materials)

Um, the gains as felt by my @$$ and anecdotal racing around with friends was perfect.
I do have to say you really have to drive the car to the redline to really take advantage of the gains, but they are very noticable...
Car went from a bare chirp hitting 2nd gear to spinning hard into 2nd...Car was able to pull on my friends 330ci after install when before it was dead even...

as long as the obx are bolted down tight, there is little or no resonance...at least not any more so than with the comptechs. its not nearly as bad as you are making it out to be and definately not something worth the 600 dollar price difference. the fitment issues seem to have been brought well under control. the first batch was a bit rough, but now there are never any new complains of fitment problems.

Headers will make a big difference.
Sonorkid has only the headers and icebox and took a consistent 1/2 second off his quarter mile time, 15 sec ave. stock down to 14.5 with the mods, all in summer weather.
