Comptech header re-torque???

I got a quote from Keyes Acura to install the Comptech headers. The online install docs talk about doing a re-torque on the headers. Has anyone with the Comptech headers had to return to their installer for a re-torque.

I am asking this as a member (who I won't mention) said they had their car performance go down after the Comptech headers were on for a time. The last message I received said that a re-torque of the headers fixed the cars performance problems.

Any comments from you Comptech header owners?

I'm really close to acquisition, but want to nail down any problems, etc.

Thanks in advance...

How much did Keyes quote you on the install and how long before they can fit you in?

About $200 for the CL-S header install. I was going to have an oil change and rotation at the same time. I thought the price was good *and* they didn't care where I bought the headers. I will probably get the parts from Tim, but I will double check again with Keyes to make sure they don't change their mind.

Note: I got the quote from a nice guy who helped me with a scratched wheel (compliments of valet parking)!

Good luck. If you hear different, let me know.

BTW -- they said they have installed the headers on TLs, CLs, and NSXs.

Let me know how the install goes when you get it done, I am contemplating getting the headers. Also let me know how much of an improvement in HP/torque after the install.
