comptech front sways touching underbody

I installed the front comptech sways and they come in contact with the underbody (crossframe/crossmember might be the correct term). It's just in the middle that they come in contact, I was wondering if this was normal. I loosed the bolts on the bushing and tried to manuever the swaybar a bit but once it was torqued down, it always seems to touch. To test, I wrapped a piece of newpaper aroudnt the side of the sway and tried to slide it down the length of the bar, but it gets caught in the middle. Just want to make sure this won't damage the car.

You might have it upside down.

would it even fit upside down?! Wouldn't that mess up the endlink connections and stuff? Everything else seems to be just in place except for that middle piece... are the bushing directional or something...that may affect the alignment of the bar just a little bit to make it touch.

Yes you can install it upside down, & it will bolt up at the end links.

is there any way to tell if it's upside down?

I know that's not the most artistic drawing, but this is my set-up, the two ends are facing forward to the endlinks

hmm...that last post didn't post like it had been displaying when I typed it up...thanks for the pic, I think I'll get under the car tonight and make sure it's in properly. I'm suspecting my endlinks might not be tight enuf, b/c there wasn't any noise for a couple of days and it started after that and it became a more regular as time went on...

I had a dealership look at it when they installed the icebox this weekend and they said that they tightened the bolts on the bushing and it hasn't made any noise since! The type-S should come with these sways as standard equipment!
