I cleaned mine last week. It was filthy. Cleaned up well. I was impressed.

Cleaned mine as well last week. It wasn't that dirty with 30K miles, but it did have a spot of gunk. Like dried up oil, or something else black & sticky. Took a bit of cleaning to get it off the filter.

My CT filter still looked fine after over 120 000Km last week. I just put in a K&N last week. I plan to alternate between the 2 filters because it takes forever to dry and this way I can have the car up and running in 10 minutes! But I must say the CT filter has held up really well, better than I thought it would.

I have been using a K & N in place of the Comptech since almost new (80k miles), no particular reason other than peace of mind. Which reminds me, can't remember the last time I cleaned it. :-x

Mine is looking good after 5 years

Although when I cleaned mine this spring I noticed the lower tube was missing. Luckily it was trapped behind the bumper.

That happened to me alittle after I installed it. I tightened it down real good now.
