Comptech Exhaust Tips vs Stock Look

New to the forum, I have read up about the comptech and will be installing soon on my 03 cls 6-speed, my idea was to have the factory tips welded on to the comptech exhaust to give a factory look but still have a nice sound.

anyone know if this is possible, i suppose that the comptech tips would have to be cut off.
anyone with comptech pls advise if you can, thanks

Only possible if the ID/OD are perfect.... If not, it will look tacky IMO.

Besides, the 03 tips are chrome PLUS black... doesn't look too well with a SS exhaust system...

He probably just doesn't like the shape of the round aftermarket exhausts. I know I prefer the look of my ooglie GTP style stock ovals. In fact I wouldn't trade stock for any axleback out there unless there was a LOT of hp gain, which of course there isn't.

Your spending alot of $$ on CT's then cutting them up? Makes no sense. Be better off getting cheap mufflers & welding the tips on those.
