Congrats Smitty! Mine came in today also.

Only bad thing is, my local Acura wants $500 to install them and alignment.

I gotta shop around!

Nate--$500!!!????? Your dealer must be smokin' crack. I got mine done for $175. You will be better served not doing an alignment now. Maybe later you 'll need it but doubtful. I've looked at my car every day now in a different light w/ the springs on. Whatta difference. Funny thing is, I actually noticed the difference of seat location when getting in post install (farther down from my ass!!). I'd shop around for someone who will charge you two hours (1hr/side). That's way too much $$$$$$$$$$$$.

Yeah, a agree that $500 is too much. The guy said that it's 1.5 hr per spring.

So far the best price I can come up with is $220 for install and $45 for alignment if it's needed. Only thing is, the place looks like a junk yard but some people have told me they do good work.

I just want these things on already....can't wait.

Good question

My pops wants in on the action.... he thinks it is a good bonding experience for since I work so many hours... LOL.. little does he know I play on the CPU all day when I am not busy...

George claims he will contact me but I have not heard anything... if his one mechanic will do it for 100 bucks like Craig got it done for, then I am in...

Either Thursday, Friday, Sat, or Tuesday they will be in..

how much did u pay for your springs? and where'd u get them?

also, for those that already have the comptech springs....does the ride really feel harsher?

i want to lower my car, but i dont want to lose the smoothness of the ride...any suggestions?

Go see Deansbluesi (Dean Batey) he will hook you up.... I think I paid 260 shipped or something like that...

the ride will of course not be as smooth because the tires will not be traveling up and down like they would with the soft factory suspension..

thanks for the info...is there anything else u can do to make the lowered ride smoother? such as adding shocks, etc? i am a newbie at this so i have no idea....is the firmer ride very noticeable? meaning, will it be uncomfortable on long trips?

also, were u the guy who lemon lawed his 2k1 cl to get a new 2k3 6spd?

Talk to REDrider... he has some Koni Yellows,Springs and Sways, he just told me about how he adjusted them to the softest setting and he loves it... or talk to Chikai, who has the Tein coilovers and sways. He adjusts his too and loves them as well..

George claims that the mechanic who did the work on the side split out.... I spoke with my old man last night... he is all excited.. Now all i need to do is go to pep boys and rent a Spring compressor...LOL...

The Koni Yellows are incredible Even at the softest setting there was a huge improvement in handling with a slight increase in stiffness. At our last Sacramento twisties run i dialed the fronts up a half turn and i have felt the difference in every day driving since. Handling blows me away.
