yea the exhaust shop i went to told me i was making so much power out of my engine but when the exhaust got to my cat i lost alot of torque...they told me to get teh high flow cat or a test pipe...im sure the random tech cat is great i just dont wana pay 300 for a cat that ima have to modify to fit my car anyways... so ima jus get the test pipe put in for 100...and fulkl exhaust im referring to 2.5" piping and up.. i have 2.5 from the cat to the Y...i still need to finish it off

LOL. Yeah Nitrous might get you into the high 13s consistently - it's not some rocket fuel magic concoction.
Yes kiddies, this is coming from a CL-6 Owner who's playtoy is an S2000 with a 75 shot. It wakes it up alot - but don't count on overpowering substantially faster cars.
I've driven the 07 3.5 Altima SE 6 speed. It's much quicker and torquier than my 03 CL-S-6 is - all the way to 80.
You're going to get your ass handed to you - intake, headers, or no.

I wouldn't push more than a 100 shot through - with an upgraded pump to ensure adequate supply and some air/fuel monitoring to be certain. I've not seen too many VTEC motors that when you open the floodgates on the intake and exhaust side that don't run a bit lean in the upper revvage.
The S spit lovely blue fireballs at 9k shifts with I/H/E and a test pipe before upgrading the fuel pump. Much too lean for safe Nitrous use.
You're also talking about changing ignition timing a few degrees and substantially cooler plugs. If you build the motor to run the spray that heavy - you sacrifice power when you're not juicing.

Speaking on the VQ35, I am dissapointed with Honda/Acura...Although SAE ratings have dropped the J35 down from the original 300HP/260TQ, it's SOHC posted exact HP/TQ numbers as the DOHC VQ35 in the given model year. DOHC and VTEC/I-VTEC are just two features that make H/A 4 bangers world class. H/A needs to give Nissan/Infiniti and others an ultimatum by doing something such as offering a 3.5 DOHC, possibly I-VTEC engine. I would speculate we could see numbers on par to the new G37(330HP/270TQ) if that were the case. I understand what is and what could be are two different things. This is why it is time for H/A to up the ante again, as it seems they are one of the originators of the "power not displacement" philosophy, and currently not willing to up the cylinder count.

Nah the thing i hate is.. Mostly of these guys dont respect our cars. Everytime someone posts a Kill they start bullshiting.. They thought that i didnt have an acura cl-s but then i take a pic of it and they still didnt belive it.. Acurazine has banned me 5 times already for some bull-Crap. I told em i will keep coming back here if i need to and baning isnt going to solve the problems.. I was even thinking about taking the Acurazine sticker off.. I heard the dude who used to own a A4 1.8T bought a BMW.. Where is he at now JBlueCLS?? By the way that dude got banned from VWFixx.com..

I don't necesarily think the gearing on the CL is that bad - you just need aobut +30 HP, 235 tires, and a real clutch to make use of it. Having owned both the auto CL and now the manual - there's no contest.

I'm really curious as to whether our engines can handle a 150 shot (wet kit) with a walbro fuel pump, heat range 7 spark plugs, and 114 octane. It feels perfect with the 125 shot, and feels as if I can go higher. Never had a problem with the 125 (wet) shot...
I bought the jets, but will continue to do some homework before thinking of installing it. I feel a fuel pressure gauge and oil pressure gauge is a must if I chose to go through with installing the jets. They come in tomorrow from Zex.
Anyone from the 2nd gen forum have vital info they can give me with any past experiences with a 150 shot from other members?
