i think there was 2700 produced. where can i find the breakdown of each color. i'm curious

 

I sent Honda/Acura of America a legit letter with my actual name and letterhead asking about total number of manual transmission made (was it really 2700?) as well as breakdown of color and navigation. I received a hand signed letter reply back a couple weeks later stating that they consider this information proprietary and will not release it.

I'm still waiting for the official press release that states the CL was cancelled The last official public release concerning the CL was about its pricing in a March 2002 release.

I read hondas press release of the cancellation of the CL in the Detroit News a few months ago, it was posted here somewhere.

 

Somehow, my recollection of that news story was just that: a news article and not an official corporate statement. I could be wrong though and I guess it doesn't really matter. We all know the reality of the situation.

According to my dealer, they produced 2400 '03 CL-S's and around 35%-40% of those were with Navi.

He said the actual numbers wouldn't be out until next year, these were the numbers he was told.

He had no color breakdown numbers.

 

I've really been looking for an ABP 6-speed, but I haven't even come close. Almost all of the new 6-speeds on the lots have been silver. A hand full of white, a couple black, 1 red. a few anthracite. Looks like I'll be getting a NBP if I decide to go that way. Plenty of used white, black and silver on the internet.

no one knows.. Acura said back in 02 that 2,700 would be built but CL sales were so bad that I believe less than 2,700 were built. Its more rare than you think.
How many total 03 CL's? Anyone count up the sales figures for each month from acuranews.com?

 

Yeah, you'd have to add up all the months from March 02 thru June 03, but my WAG (wild ass guess) would be about 12,000 CL's total. If 20% of those are 6spds then we get the 2400 number that unixadmin mentioned.

If I get a change to goof off at work tomorrow I'll try to remember to add the MTD numbers. Someone correct me if the 03 MY (model year) is different then March 02 thru June 03, ok.
