color
im going tonight to order the car im still tossed lol but im leaning towards blue can u see swurl marks on the blue and does it cover scratches well also the anthracite how is it
I had to pick between blue and anthracite when bying CLS 6M Navi less than a week ago. I picked anthracite. Blue is very beatiful too, but anthracite is new color, I like metalic overtone, and it's less maintenance. By the way, for what it worth, on www.edmunds.com you can price the car, picking the color in the process, and guess what, anthracite is +$63, while blue is -$53. Since Edmunds explains that it uses "actual transaction data to calculate this adjustment", it only means people who bought anthracite paid (or had to pay) more, but still a food for thoughs.
By the way, I actually wanted silver but it was not available. In the whole Illinois there were only 4(!) of '03 CLS 6M Navi available: 2 blacks, a blue, and an anthracite. Black was not an option for me---too much maintenance. There was a white one in Wisconsine, but I was not that excited about white either. 6Ms with Navi are awfuly rare, it appears---hope, equaly precious

Now you're talking my language. My speciality is expertise in applying and curing powder coatings for Illinois Tool Works, and I am schooled in color.
The bottom line is...get what you like! I really cannot answer your question, because I am assuming you have chosen an interior color, and that determines the exterior color (and vice versa).
White and black are considered to be elegant. I had my choice of two colors, silver or black when I bought my CL-S six speed, which is two months old today. "Silver" I said, immediately when asked. Black is so cool, but it lasts for about 15 minutes. No thanks.
Blue is considered to be regal, and it would have been my choice.
Red inspires passion. Check me out here. For one week, count the number of blonds driving red cars. The number will astound you.
Technically, green is the most pleasing color to the human eye.
My objection to silver (which is growing on me fast) extends to anthracite. I do not dislike either color, they just seem to "blend in" on an asphalt, concrete, salt or snow covered road. Be defensive in your driving if you choose either. Silver suggests richness to me, anthracite, exclusivity. I'd Gold badge any color acura offers, but I wouldn't do it to silver (how is that for rationalizing a couble of hundred bucks?).
I've never seen one in person, but if the color swatch in my acura brochure is correct, I don't want it. Sorry if you have it.
Either of the golds don't impress me, however, once again, it suggests richness.
I prefer a black interior, because dirt tends to show up easily, and I clean alot. When I had white, light interiors, I tended to let them go, because they are so hard to clean. And the CL-S interior is large enough to ward off claustrophobia.
And this brings up some gripes I have about Acura. Me and dad went shopping for a new grand caravan, and Dodge offers 26 colors. Acura, 10. And cut that in half if you have to have one interior or the other. And Honda/Acura offered a gold a few years ago that was so deep, I found it offensive. But, color is subjective, now isn't it. Please yourself!
