What is it? What does it do? What does it look like? Is it easy to install?

That's good news! What other equipment does WR offer for the CL?

I think people have had a big discussion on this on other threads.. Do a search and you'll find it..

But the Cold Airbox isolates the Air Filter in a Enclosed Cold area to create safe cold air performance. It is made of Aluminum and looks like this. without the window.

We are planning an ECU upgrade for these cars soon..
we have got net Hp of from 18-38HP from various cars..
We plan on the ECU Upgrade in the next few weeks..

Lemme know if you' all have any more ?'s..

Will the ECU upgrade void the warranty on the engine?

The ECu upgrade is a Piggyback Ecu Upgrade so you can always bypass the unit.. The package will come with a Bypass Plug which you can use to unplug the WRECU and go back to stock..

What does the ECU do exactly? The CLS ECU is complex that it does control Engine, Transmission, VSA etc....

And how much does it cost?

Good news Leo. How about those throttle rotors I asked Moo to ask you about?

Also, how about a production unit pic of the cold air box. That would be nice as well.

Keep us posted on the piggy ECU mod.

From Dynos posted on WR site for the ECU applications, the power gains seems nice and encouraging. However, $750 is a bit high for this mod with the added worries of messing up the Stock CLS or busting something in the engine.

I would say the RES Dynos would look as good as the WR ECU Dynos.

ECU

I'd be happy with a chip that would simply firm up the shifts and maybe allow an adjustment to delay the shift sightly so 5th gear does not occur at 45mph in normal driving. I've started driving in D4 to avoid this but still wish the shifts were quicker and firmer.

I think the WR ECU is kind of black box thing. No user adjustments.

Is there anyway to stop the UFO sounding hum with a short ram intake??? I like the idea of the ice box but I dont think I would like the humming noise.

It would nice and wise if Weapon-R added a noise-isolation material all around their Air box. This way, the box will offer UFO sound buffereing and CAI benefit.

Ditto. Although I've been using D4 for some time. D5 sux other than major road trips (ultimate gas milage.)

I'd like to see firmer, quicker shifts in SS as well.

Odd, I like having 5th gear kick in so if I let my foot off the gas a bit the car doesn't immediately slow down from the higher rpms as it does in 4th gear.

i really think that the weapon R intake is very ugly. the hoses also get in the way of the battery and everything. why dont you make the hoses at the bottom of the long metal doohicky so that you can at least keep the lid on the ugly battery too......?
