Coin tray

I had some coins fall behind my coin tray and now it won't close all the way. Does anyone know how to remove the coin tray?

I have this happen to me all the time What you need to do is pull out the "L" shaped cover that's under the coin tray. It's located in-between the Left & Right seat warmers. Once you remove that, you should see the coins that are not allowing the tray to close. You may have to unscrew the screw just a bit to allow the coin to fall down. Dont remove the screw completely cause it may be a mission to put it back.

Buy a coin tray for the '03. it has a spring loaded flap on top that holds the coins in place when it is closed. I had the '01 PDG and i also lost a bunch of coins. I just kept hitting the side and slamming it closed.

That top flap on my 03 6-speed coin tray decided to separate itself from the vehicle. It may not be a good solution.

NO NO NO

SIMPLY TAKE YOUR FIST AND PUNCH THE SIDE OF THE WHOLE CONSOLE HARD. REPEAT A FEW TIMES AND IT WILL CLOSE AGAIN. TRUST ME THIS SHIT HAPPENS TO ME LIKE EVERY OTHER MONTH JUST GIVE IT A GOOD SMASH OR TWO.

The 02's have this flap too. At least my 02 did. I never had any change fall behind, or any other change related issue.

I tried to put change in every "coin" drawer we have in our car and nothing worked for me. I ended up stealing a small tupperware container (it's really small), to hold my change.

After having the change fall all the way behind the center console and rattling every time I hit a bump, I had enough. Took me over 1 hour, with a straw and a piece of gum to FISH the fockers out!
