Coilover/Suspension Mod

New to the mod scene....what is a coilover and how is it different than getting springs and sways.....what is a camber kit?

Question: If I want 18 wheels and to lower the car with comptech products, what is the best avenue to take?

go here, and look around www.autocarparts.com

also, look in the comptech forum, try the search button and read the FAQ.

btw, check the tuners guide at the top of the page.

there is a ton of info here

Okay I looked around and still don't understand what is the difference in a full coilover and spring/sway combination. How do camber fit into the equation. Please explain. Thanks.

full coilover: adjustable height and struts...the springs are typically would in a linear rate, meaning spring tension doesn't change during compression

drop springs w/ struts: the car sits at one height, typically 1-2 inches lower than stock. they are typically wound progressive....meaning the further the compression the stiffer the spring gets. if you opt to purchase aftermarket struts, they are usually adjustable and/or are stiffer than stock.
