Clunky Konis

Hey Guys,

I've had the Konis on for a few weeks now and they're great. Just one thing. It seems like they clunk a lot over small bumps like there is some slack somewhere. Anybody have experience with this? I was thinking about shortening the collar that goes through the shock mount bushings to try and pre-load the bushings a bit but I'm not positive this is where the clunking is coming from. Could it just be the shocks themselves? I also have comptech springs. I did the install myself and all of the bolts were torqued with the car resting on the ground. If anybody has an idea or guess I'd appreciate the input.

I have a clunk sound when I back up and there is a slight change in elevation like my drive way. Any suggestions what it could be?

Hmmm....Maybe it's just me. It's very slight and only happens at low speeds over washboard type surfaces. Probably just transmitting a bit more noise through the suspension. Small price to pay for the handling improvement.

I lowered the car with comptech springs so I didn't use the adjustment on the shocks. The performance difference with high performance shocks is you get less body motion especially over uneven pavement. They also prevent the inside of the car from raising up when you turn the car so you get much flatter more stable cornering.
