The 0..60 time is highly variable. My 6.1 time is rounded to the tenth, since I think the GTECH is not THAT accurate. The time I got was with a very light gas load and very cold outside temps and very, very sticky tires (average of runs going in both directions). I'm also a big guy, so I need to cut my self in half to be competitive with some of the other folks.
Depending on gas load and temp, here is a cross section of times (no light wheels, mods, etc)
5.9 -- low gas, skinny person, and low temps.
6.6 -- full tank, big driver, and 90 degree day.
Sorry, no figures for the TLS
Don't forget, that sticky tires, lightened rims, and other non-engine related changes can make a big difference
(Just my own opinions, experience, and recollections from other postings.) Sorry, no test track, laser range finder, 3rd wheel, and radar

Well the CL-S and the TL-S will probably be in the low 6's like around 6.2-6.5.

For every 100 lbs added to a vehicle's gross weight, you'll gain .1 seconds in a quarter mile drag race. Of course this works in reverse also. Drop 100 lbs from your car and you'll pick up about .1 seconds in the quarter mile.
This is fairly accurate for cars weighing 2800-3800 lbs.

Hypothetical question:
Say "car A" does the 1/4 mile in 15.0 seconds and "car B" does it in 15.1 seconds. How much distance would "car A" win by?

060 times ok, but who really gets their car up to 147mph. that would take like 2-3min due to the fact that our car hits a block after 110. and where r u driving at 147? i hope not by me

I haven't experienced the "block" at 110 factor. I find that runs are very fast to 130. (no header, no intake, just very light wheels, and no head wind).
I had a witness, who couldn't believe the speedo, when I asked them to look. So, maybe the speedo is off by 2-4 mph. (A guy had the AAA check his speedo and his was about 3 mph high at these speeds.)

All GPS units can present the velocity, if fitted with the appropriate software.
If you know position, and you know time, then you know average velocity. The GPS satellites provide time and position information in 3 dimensions (with 4 or more satellites in "view").
GPS provides constant longitude(x), latitude(y), and altitude(z) info. This x,y, and z (3-dimensional data) is computed with very precise times.
SO:
Velocity = Distance / Time.
Velocity = (change in position) / (change in time)
Velocity = (GPS_Pos2 - GPS_Pos1) / (Time_at_Pos2 - Time_at_Pos1)
Note: (GPS_Pos2 - GPS_Pos1) is (x2,y2,z2) - (x1,y1,z1) (a vector quantity), so the magnitude (length) of the vector needs to be found.
GPS_Pos2 (x2,y2,z2) and GPS_Pos1 (x1,y1,z1) are the positions of the vehicle at Time_at_Pos2 and Time_at_Pos1.
So:
Distance = ( (x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2 + (z2-z1)^2) )^(1/2).
By constantly computing the new position vs. the last one (with the corresponding times), a GPS unit will display the current velocity.

Well, when someone wants to know, they can't fault a "full" answer.
BTW -- I got one of the subscripts wrong in your quote. I was fixing it when you were replying.
Boy, everyone is so choosy. I've been hasled now for not enough info, then too much info, then I don't get enough attention. Boy....
I enjoyed Physics and Math (when I had a good teacher). I had a lot of these boring, monotone lectures that put me too sleep too.
Well, at least you can turn the computer off now

I pulled 0-60 in 5.85 secs with Gtech...
The road/weather conditisions were perfect. I was half way down on the gas tank and I weigh only 170 lbs.
I'm still trying to get my ass to the track to find out some real numbers. I don't trust Gtech too much these days...

Car only had the lighted wheels at the moment and I think the TLS and CLS are very close in weight, HP, and aerodynamics...
