yea, it does feel like they've been under a rock, what worry's me though, is lets say acura does go the course of bigger/faster/turbo? engines, what will be their price? Acura gives you performance/reliability/technology at a reasonable price, guess we will just have to wait and see, but for how long, acura's theme is "advance" but their the ones who arent doing to much of that.

 

I got to back up acura a little here. They are not a race car company. They have never made cars known for their 0-60. Acura is more reliabililty, technology, luxery then performance.
As for the Advance comment. Honda/Acura made the S2000..that was a marvel way ahead of the competition w/ the 4 cyl 240hp track monster. Then the SH-Awd...nobody else still has anything like it...so in terms of advance not just 0-60 they are advanced. Yes I agree Acura needs to offer just a little more horsepower..but they are such a "practicle" car company its hard to say which way they are going to go next.

This CL will most likely be my last 2 dr car.......next car is a TL-S or a RL

 

I don't want the CLS to be my last 2 door car, but it well may be. I've also been shopping/studying the RL.

Sure, it's an Honda Accord, but it's the closest thing to a CL in the H/A lineup. It looks like Acura is more interested in making SUV's, Sedans, and Crossovers than making coupes... The NSX is rumored to be delayed again too: http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=719135

 

IDK why there's this hangup on a CL replacement. Honda has a cl replacement in the accord coupe 6mt.
It's 95% of what the CLS 6mt is.
I just read a Road & Track review on it & it's a nice ass car.

 

Being that we are on the Acura forum has a lot to do with it...I mean the Accord Coupe is a nice car, and I agree it's 95%, but I would say there's a LOT to that missing 5%...the little refinements I like to call them. But mostly just the name.

 

95% my @$$ - i get into those coupes every day at work .. the interior dash is U G L Y as hell..confusing even..I am STILL looking for an 03 CL 6MT - i've had this 5auto for years and still want a 6MT.. B A D.. keep the g37 buddy..

 

i think the 08 accord coupes are very nice, dash maybe "honda" standards, not luxury line like our acura's, but the exterior is pretty nice
