Sense i am getting new intake and headers, can i put the type s parts on my mom 01 TL?
the dealer said no and gave me some bs story, but i didnt understand why sense they r the same engine. Al we have extra is intake and headers right? Its nothing inside the engine is it?

Ok, I spoke with a tech in Acura today.... We talked about different between a CLS and CLP/TL..... 90% of the parts are the same.... People say CLS have 30% better flow exhaust than a TL/CLP.... He said "its more like a way to sell the car... Yes, it's 30% more better flow in the exhaust BECAUSE there are 30% more intake, so thats why they can say it's 30% better flow".... Both TL/CLP and CLS have exact cat, mid-pipes, and muffler... PLUS even with a after market exhasut, it will not produce that much anyway..... So the main thing is located in the intake manifod....

He is working on a TL, which is more like a test car..... He is putting a TypeS intake manifod onto the TL block, to see how it will run.... He said, almost all the parts on TL/CL are exchangable... except some internal parts in CLS will be different than TL.... other than that, almost the same.....

He said now Honda is cutting cost, they use the Global Platform, which mean, all the cars using the same platform will share the same parts(exclude body)... #1 to safe money, #2 easier for consumer to locate parts, #3 easier to modify. Just like suspension, exhasut, some interior switchs, AC bla bla bla.... Accord, TL, CL all have the same parts... Thats why if something goes wrong, you are not stuck with Acura parts... Plus, for racers, it's easier to buy parts.... (main reason is, Honda is getting cheap, using that ONE FIT ALL theory).

Therefore if you ask me, will CLS parts(exclude intake portion of the TypeS) fit CLP/TL/Accord? I would have to say yes, if not, little/minor adjustment.... Hope this will help...

i think the cams will fit but your not getting rid of those. But no the intake will not fit since you guys have the dual intake throttle response shit.
