I have been trying to research Exhaust for my 2001 CL-S. i've made it as far as the mufflers and got stuck. So far my New exhaust system is going to be DC headers to XLR8 Hiflow Cat. heres where im stuck, do i leave the rest of the exaust stock? i dont want a "Ricer" sound but i do want a bit of Rumble when i lay into it. i dont like the sound of the CT mufflers, it just doesnt sound right to me (i know im a pain when it comes to exaust note, it has to be just right) will it sound good with the stock mufflers? Any suggestions?

it will not sound good on the stock mufflers, but will be a good setup when you find the right muffler or mufflers.

im doing something nobody has on a cl-s, NSX style exhaust with a single muffler in and dual outlets..i have the muffler ordered and im just trying to find the tips i want(titanium or carbon), then get it installed with the 2.5" piping....i will have vids and pics pending it turns out as planned..lol

OH I WILL FOR SURE.
My only concern is with or without the mid-muffler.
most likely i will do it without, and if it is too aggressive, then ill dub it down ith a resonator..

You wont get that sound. The C32 is a DOHC motor.

well, i know i wont get the same sound man, thats a totally different motor and car from ours, but the aggressiveness is what i like and after, without tthe buzz or raspyness.
im sure it will be similar once im done, plus i gotta try something new, or we will never know...thanks
